I would like to create an occasionally connected AIR application for our sales force. I have experimented and found all of the features that I need except for one. We have a lot of sales proposals, contracts, credit applications, etc. that are PDF documents with text fields. We need to be able to open these PDF templates from the installation folder while disconnected, and merge data from the application into the PDF template, creating a new PDF to be saved, printed, etc.
Without this feature, our users would have to re-enter all of the data. This is not an option.
I have looked at AlivePDF, but this can only create PDF files on the fly. It can not open existing PDF files.
