Every time I try to open a .pdf document in either of the above browers, I get a message saying something like, 'the Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running cannot be used to view pdf files in a web browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your web browser and try again.
I have downloaded and installed the latest version of reader 3 times. During the installation, it says that it is removing the earlier version. have also upgraded both IE and Firefox to the latest versions.
If I download the .pdf and then click it on my desktop, it opens ok, but they can't all be downloaded and I want it to work right anyway.
What can I do?
OS? Version of Reader? Version of IE and Firefox?
Sorry - Vista, Adobe reader 9.1.0, IE 8.0.6001.18783, FF 3.0.11.
OK I had this problem for over 3 months now could not find anything to fix it.
I did the reinstall and also delete reg keys and so on nothing seem to help.
I tried adobe reader 8.3.1 did not help but When I try the adobe 7.1.0 it work.
So uninstall the adobe reader 126.96.36.199 and google adobe reader 7 it will take to to adobe website
on OS pick the XP SP2 and it will show the 7.1.0 ver. download it and install it
That worked for me try it.
