Hi. I'm fairly new to CS4, having been using Premiere Pro 2 for quite some time before upgrading. I've been working on two separate projects and both have given me the exact same problem that I can't seem to figure out.
My first project was a 2.5 hour video shot with a Canon HF20 at 29.97fps. When I encode the video (MPEG2-DVD), it works fine until I check the outputted video file. For some reason, the video cuts off around the middle, while the audio retains its entire length.
My second project was a small 4min slideshow I did using JPEGs. Same problem when encoding; the video cuts off at around the halfway point.
I'm hoping someone can provide me a solution to this problem.
Please tell us all about your system and also your Export settings. Something in there will probably not look right, and someone can possibly help you sort that out.
Let me take a guess on the 2.5 hour video. I have never tried to put that much on a single layer DVD disc. Is that what you are trying to do? Possibly it just truncated the video.
I've tried splitting up the 2.5 hour video over 4 discs, but still the same problem. I am running CS4 on a Dual Core 2.6Ghz processor with 4GB memory. When exporting, I simply chose MPEG2-DVD and kept all defaults, because I'm fairly new to this and haven't tried tampering with any of the settings.
