I've only just started the steep learning curve for Illustrator, so I'm very much still finding my way around the software.
That said, I'm stuck on something and quite frustrated that I can't move any further with it and so I was hoping someone from the forum could give a little advice.
I'm trying to recreate the look of a mosaic vase I have above my fireplace. I've created the vase shape using some ellipses. And I've created a pattern swatch that resembles the mosaic pattern on the vase itself.
But I can't for the life of me make either the vase 3D or wrap the pattern around it in a way that would look 3D.
It would be fantastic to have a little advice from some of the more expert users out there.
Stating your version will help the helpers.
Maybe especially in older versions, you may consider Object>Envelope Distort or Effect>Whatever appropriate/available.
I'm working in CS4.
And I'm pleased that I've played around with the envelope functions and warp>bulge has produced exactly the sort of effect I was looking for.
Many thanks for your help,
You are welcome, Audree. And welcome to the forum.
