I'm not sure this can be done (i'm almost positive it can't), but I have a client that contracted my firm to design a certificate of completion for one of their courses. Along with the print ready file, she also wants a file that can be sent to her and opened on her end (using a non vector based program) in which she can type the information in the specified area.
For example one part reads "This certifies that" with a line underneath. Is there any way for her to be able to type a persons name on the line?
Convert it to a PDF, then add an editable form field to it in Acrobat Pro. Or allow the file to be edited from the start, so she can use Acrobat's type selection tool to change text. I'd go with the first option, though, it's safer.
Thank you very much, Mylenium! Your first suggestion is exactly what she needed.
