Operating Systems and/or programms tend to change fonts over the different versions.
I had to copy several fonts from XP to my Vista machine.
Most fonts you can download from the internet.
I fully understand how to get fonts. what I can't figure out is how to access new fonts in premiere pro CS4's title designer. is there a folder I need to put them in? is there a feature I don't know about?
by the way, i'm using mac OS X 10.5
All fonts that are installed by the OS should be available to all programs that use fonts (unless there is a conflict with a particular font type and a program). Are these "missing" fonts showing in your OS. For Windows, it would be Control Panel>Fonts.
Now, one can have many more fonts stored on a system, than are installed at any one time. On my workstation, I have almost 11,000 fonts, but only a couple 100 are installed at one time. I use Extensis Suitcase to dynamically manage the installed fonts.
Ok, that last post helped a lot. I realized that I had the fonts installed on my computer, I just didn't have them installed on the right user account. thanks!
Great news, and thanks for reporting the "fix." It will likely help someone else out later.
