Recording automatically when the program being recorded starts

Hello, I am new to these forums.  I have been browsing for some time now and I can't really find anything that directly answers this question.  I am trying to figure out a way to automatically start the recording process as soon as I start running this program I am recording.  I realize that hitting a red button isn't hard to do, but for my purposes it would help immensely if I could somehow find a way to do this.  So basically I need it to be as fully automated as it can possibly be.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy

Unfortunately Captivate doesn't offer a way to do this. Probably the simplest way you might achieve it would be to use some software to accomplish it.

I've never used it, but many folks swear by a product called Macro Express.

Click here to visit the Macro Express web site

You may wish to advise the Adobe Captivate developers of your need. Who knows, maybe we will see that option appear in some future Captivate version if enough folks ask for it. You ask for it using the Wish Form. There is a link to the Wish Form in my sig line.

Cheers... Rick
