On frame 163 of the logo movieclip add the following actionscript:
thanks for the reply.
I have tried using this code before, it was actually what I had seen dotted around various forums. It still wont work though? I dont know if it is the way I have the timeline set up, or maybe the movieclip?
I have attached the .fla file to clear things up.
The movie clip named Atkins logo is on frame 1. Nothing else is on frame 1 in the main timeline. Then Frame 2 begins the section called 'intro'. I would like the movie clip to play through and then move to frame 2 of the main timeline, which is frame 1 of the 'intro' section.
I have tried putting the script in you have suggested but it does not seem to work. When I test the movie the logo does not even begin to play?
Nothing is attached, and these forums are hurting in that ability--you'd do better to load it to a server and provide a link. I can only look at CS3 and earlier files, so if you're using CS4 you'll have to see if someone else happens along to look at it.
In any case, the problem you are having should be simple to resolve. There's just no telling what you might have done wrong with what you've explained so far.
thanks for your time Ned, I'll keep trying. Like I said, I am extremley new to doing this kind of thing in flash. I have only previously used it for Animation purposes and cartoon sketching.
There's some hope, at least now the attachment is displaying, but it's queued, and for many files that turn out to be a permanent status.
What I have heard works is to upload the file, and if you see it's queued, edit your posting, remove the attachment and then upload it again.
