I'm having some problems with my art brushes that I created and downloaded. The overlapping parts of the brush are white where they intersect or overlap. I read somewhere that it has something to do with the "Non zero winding filling rule," but I can't figure it out. Can someone help me out, what am I missing?
I’m using Illustrator CS3.
The setting resides in the Attributes Palette. Your problem is that the Even-Odd fill rule was used in the artwork which was used to define the Brush (not in the path to which the Brush is applied.) Therefore, you need to edit the Brush artwork, not the path to which it is applied.
Thanks Jet, I think that worked. Interesting enough, I noticed that a lot of the illustrator brushes that I downloaded from the internet all have this problem. In fact I also noticed that they don't have the 'Tints' option selected. Crazy... crazy!
