Gradient / Highlight / Mesh Questions

    cts_graphics Level 2

I'm building a certain "mobile phone" in illustrator. I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to to create realistic highlights, like what's indicated here:

      Any suggestions?

Is this best done with mesh gradients? Any good tuts on such?

Meshes would offer the most flexability. If Iwere doing it, I'd use a mesh.

If you Google for "Illustrator Gradient Mesh Tutorial" you'll find many.

I would say possibly gradient mesh or the use of blends and gradients and perhaps a little feathering effect.

But you can look at Adobe exchange or Adobe TV for some tutorials or Lynda.com you can also do a google for tutorials for Gradient Mesh in Illustrator might yield some tutorials perhaps some free ones.

Gradient mesh are wonderful and I sometimes use them but it takes a lot of logical thinking, if you think logically it is rather intuitive as to what has to be done. It does however take artistic talent as well.
