I have a client who wants some graphics to appear "coming onto the screen from the sides." They are flames, to be exact. She does not want them to just come in inside the "box" (stage). She wants them to appear coming in from the sides of the browser window. Is there a way to do this? That is, can you make graphics or movie clips that start off outside of the frame appear in the browser when the swf file is saved?
I'm a total newbie, as I have only made one Flash animation in my lifetime, but couldn't you make a large flash animation with a stage of 1280x720 lets say, which would fill most screens and then have the rest of your animation be "inside" that, lets say in the 720x486 range and then fly objects in from the 1280x720 range so it would appear like it's coming in from the side of the browser with the rest of your animation sitting in the 720x486 area?
Thanks...I may have to do something like that. The only problem I can see is that the flames on the left side will start at the left side of the browser window instead of coming into the browser window from the left when the graphic opens.
