Dreamweaver CS4 menus on a Mac

    BalletMom Community Member

I recently upgraded to Web Premium CS4 on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.5.7). Ever since, I have had a problem with menus in the Dreamweaver application not allowing me to select anything until the second or third try, if then. Keyboard commands work even if the menu choice cannot be selected. An additional problem I have is that almost half the team I select a LOCAL file to edit from the files panel, I get something about not being available because Dreamweaver is interacting with the server. Yet I would not have done anything in the last few minutes that would tell Dreamweaver to interact with the server.

Mostly I am using Dreamweaver right now for building Web content for online courses taught in Blackboard CE 8 (the old WebCT Vista). I use a WebDAV connection to put files. I have not changed my site definitions in the past year other than to update the password.

Any ideas what is going on?

Wow, I'm having the same issue. I thought it was just me or something bizarre with my system (although I have the latest updates). I hope someone has an explanation and fix.

Also, I've notice menu issues on the Adobe site itself. I have to right click (to get the menu to stay down to allow for selection).

This has been happening on my Intel iMac as well as my quad-core G5. Adobe tech support insists that this does not happen, and all I need to do is trash my preferences. However, I am convinced that DW CS4 was released before it was ready in order to make it into the suite. This program is extremely buggy--hopefully, an update will be released soon.
