assuming you're using as3, assign your button an instance name (say btn) and use:
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.adobe.com")); // <- use the url you want
Thanks. I've done that, and I am getting a compiler error that says "Statement must appear within on handler"
I did name the instance of the button btn and placed the code in the AS panel which I accessed from the btn properties panel. Is that the right place, or should it be in the timeline? I have a separate layer called Button that contains the btn symbol. What am I missing?
Yep. I was using AS2. I changed the code and still could not get it to work (but no errors!) I changed to AS3 and tried the original code and am still getting the same compiler errors.
pick one or the other.
if you're using as2, use the code i gave in my last message and test online. any problems?
