try what i would do:

I don't think that'd work because I need to populate the tilelist with the data from my array collection that I made. Also Images cannot store data so I need to use objects as they need to have properties called description, title etc which will be displayed in another window once each image is clicked in the tilelist.
you can still trap the ItemClick event of the tilelist and get the Item(your object) associated with it, which will give you the description/title fields.
How could I edit the first code that I posted to do all that? Sorry I'm really just a beginner with flex.
