I was wondering if any of the experts can direct me to the best place to start customizing my own web gallery. While I love the LRG and TTG galleries, I really need something that's a hybrid of their features. I am familiar with programming and SDKs and I think I might have a chance at building my own, but I really don't know where to start. I've looked online and other book references, but nothing alludes to this type of customization.
A hierarchy of the architecture / how it works / what it does (10,000 ft overview) and a point in the right direction would be very helpful. Any details on how to reverse engineer any of the included templates / engines would be a plus!
I promise to share my gallery (if and) when I get it done.
Seán McCormack did a great series of articles on this over at Lightroom News. Here a link to the first in the series: http://lightroom-news.com/2008/08/27/anatomy-of-a-lightroom-html-gallery/
Seán's articles are an excellent introduction to how it's done and can give you the foundation you need to build on.
