I have installed Adobe Reader 9 on my PC and cannot get PDFs on the Internet to recognize it. I have no problem opening PDF email attachments and other PDF documents with Reader 9. However, the web links revert to Acrobat 6.0 Professional that I also have on my computer and that I need to keep for a print publication that I edit. Nor will the PDF links open with Reader 6, telling me that I need either Reader 8 or Reader 9. Is there a way to "tell" the web that I really have Reader 9 and to use it?
Adobe doesn't support two Acrobat related products on the same computer. It causes problems. Remove both programs and re-install one and only one. You need to re-install since uninstalling one will break the other.
Michael -- Thank you!
Right now it is the Acrobat 6 that I need most. If I uninstall both and re-install 6, will I lose my settings?
