If you learn actionscript 3 and maybe Flex you can do anything. It's like having a big bucket of pixy dust.
aahaha, pixie dust that only works when you know how to use it!
i'm not sure how that answers my question , sorry, i'm not too too familiar with ActionScript 3 or Flex
It sounds like Flex is made for webpages rather than creating fla files or automating the creation of some objects in the scenes. Although i think i could be wrong... i don't really know
I thought ActionScript only executed in the swf files, i didn't think you could use it to automate the creation of objects and their motions
i might be missing something that you're trying to say though?
sorry, it's been quite a few years since i've last had to use Flash too...

An fla is simply the authoring environment for a specific swf. If you want dynamic code such as something used to automate you will need actionscript or at least mxml which translates to actionscript. You mention creating objects. Objects are instances of classes which of course are written in actionscropt so I don't see how you could not use actionscript.
right, thanks for the clarification
and i see AS can read xml, so that might be helpful too
