I have a couple questions I'm hoping someone can help with:
1. Why do the Kuler palettes have 5 colors? (something to do with color theory?)
2. When looking at a Kuler pallet does one of the colors represent a suggested or optimal background color of a webpage? (I'm struggling a bit with the application of the pallet colors to the web page)
Anyone? This doesn't strike me as an overly complicated question. Thoughts? Hints? Anything? I can't find any of this in the docs. Seems like some of the first questions one would ask when using this tool. Thank you.
Let me take a shot at your queries.
1. Nothing to do with color theory. It seems that 5 is the optimum number of swatches used by designers. Of course, you may choose to use more or less. But as of now, kuler is limited to 3 to 5 number of swatches.
2. Palette itself doesn't decide which color to go where. Totally your call. However, you can use base color to come up with your theme.
