I recently created a interactive form on Adobe Designer 7.0. It is intended for users to be able go fill out the form, save it, and send it to administartion where it needs multiple signatures. In Designer, I have the security settings set to password protected and to allow "filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields".
But when i open the document in Adobe Reader 7.0, a password is not prompted when i try editing the form and it says that "You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for you records". Also when i click on a signature field, nothing happens. When I go back to Designer it still says that the security options are "filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields".
What am i doing wrong?
thanks in advance for any help
Reader can only read by default. Another features need to be added to the PDF. For forms, the PDF needs specail "Extended Form Rights for Reader" applied to the PDF form and for the use of signatures, speical "Signature Rights" need to be enabled.
thank you for the information.
So does that mean there is no way to set the extended form rights and the signature rights? Or is there something I can do to change the rights on the pdf?
