If your textInput id="city", then you would use city.text in your submit function to get the text value associated with the 'city' textInput component.
i do have it set up like that as an example:
var fName:String = 'fName.text';
var lName:String = 'lName.text';
if there is something else i should be doing please let me know.
Im not sure why its giving the location and not the actual input.
you dont need quotes,
var fName:String = fName.text;
var lName:String = lName.text;
but it would give you the string 'fName.text', not the location.
i think your given example and actual code mismatches; can you please post the actual code?
