    Flex and ColdFusion

      Hello,

I apologize in advance for the beginner nature of this question. I run a web site that I built using ASP.NET. It is dynamically driven from a Microsoft SQL Server database. I need to make a number of changes (improvements) to the site and in doing so realized just how much recoding it would take. I am looking at alternative methods of creating data driven sites with secure user authentication and large data sets. Our current database has over 400 tables with a total of 9.4 million plus rows. I understand converting will be a challenge, but I am up to it. Should I look at ColdFusion and Flex? Can ColdFusion handle the data size? Or can I tag ColdFusion to run on a different data store (perhaps HyperTable)?

      thanks in advance,

      mitch
