    cannot find the presets

      Hi,

I've just started using After Effects CS4

it seems to be a really great program but there is one problem which is a little bit annoying, when I click "Animation" and then "Browse Presets", i cannot find any presets, it just opens me a new window with nothing in it

a friend told me that when I choose "Browse Presets" it should open me a window and show me a lot of folders like "text", "Transitions" and so on

      how can I fix it?

a picture of what I see when clicking on "Browse Presets"

Wrong directory. AE presets are in the AE directory. And you may also wish to set your Bridge Workspace to something that includes a preview window such as the Essentials workspace...

            thank you for answering Mylenium.

however I have been looking for the Presets direcotry for over 30 minutes and couldn't find it, even used the "F3" windows serach function

it seems like it wasn't even installed

by the way, where do I get this "Essentials workspace" ?

            sorry for bothering you

The big fat breadcrumb style buttons in your Bridge menu area. As for the presets - possible, but only if you chose to not install them. When you do a search, look for *.ffx file extensions, maybe you accidentally moved stuff somewhere else. Also make sure, your folder permissions are set correctly so you can even see them.
