I have a transition element which tells a button object to move from one location to another before adding a child component into the state being transitioned into. For some reason, after loading the application, the button <mx:Move> animation does not show, and the button simply appears at its new location at about the same time the other component appears. When we return to the main state and repeat the same transition, however, the move animation works, and it only works after the first try. How can this problem be remedied? Source can be provided if needed.
As transitions are triggered only if there is a change in the "currentState", did you check if you are changing the state upon loading the application so that the Move transition shows up?
Sry I wasn't clear before. The move animation is only supposed to happen when the state transition occurs, which is triggered by a button click. When the app first loads and you click the button for the first time, this animation doesn't happen, and only after you return to the previous state and trigger the transition again does the animation happen and during subsequent triggers as well.
