I'm working in a website project with Fireworks CS4 v.10.0.311 (I applied FW update 10.0.311 only from 10.0.0) under Mac OS X 10.5.7 on Mac Pro 3.2 GHZ with 32 GB of RAM and export the project from Fireworks to use in Dreamweaver CS4 using File/export/css images to get a final html file with images using Div Tags as structure but doesn't works properly because block content (Div tags) are not in place and are messy when I see in DW Design View or rendering in any browser.
If I use FW Export Wizard then got this error message:
file <startup disk>:Applications:Adobe Fireworks
CS4:Configuration:HTML Code.CssLayers.htt,line 1401,
error:test for equality (==) mistyped as assignment (=)?
Assuming equality test
If I export using tables (HTML and Images - Export HTML File - Export Slices) then it export properly but don't want tables, I want DIVs Tag for work and Fireworks CSS Images export option only.
Please, check the attach file named "wrong-export-css-images.zip" it's a Fireworks's PNG with slicing and is one page of my project that gives this error.
Someone can help me to get a final DIV structure HTML file with CSS and images in a correct way?
You can find some useful tutorials on adobe.com about exporting css and images.
I saw your file, you have filled your document with slices which of course isn't the right way to export css and images. Place slices only on objects that are going to be placed inside your web site as images. Do not fill the whole document with slices, because Fireworks is going to export everything as an image. If you generally understand the way a web site is constructed with css, you should try to draw a clean web site in fireworks, avoiding overlaps and decide whether you place an image or not.
