From what I have researched Flash Player 10 has modest(????) 3D capabilities. However, (and I'm a noob here) there does not seem to be any 3d type primitives such as "cube" or "cylinder". Also I'm 99% certain there are not any physics capbilities.
Long story short I am seeking to build something akin to Doug McCune's tile UI (http://dougmccune.com/blog/2007/07/23/tileui-desktop-demo-video/ ) -- see also Bill White's version (http://www.billdwhite.com/wordpress/?p=26).
Is the "best" development strategy then to still use Away3D/Papervision/Activa and APE/WOW ???
As a followup ideally my app will also have the ability to "skin" the desktop (ie wood, marble, glass etc) and is this something best suited to DeGrapha?
Thanks in advance for any feedback, I've spent a good deal of time looking at this but remain uncertain which "time investments" to make.
