It's also possible, since you say you used Photoshop Elements to create it, that you saved it as a WMV file rather than using Premiere Elements to create an MPEG-based standard DVD file.
Load your DVD into your computer and browse it. Is the video file WMV file? if not, what is it?
Yes, it is WMV. I do not recall any other options (like MPEG) offered. How do I utilize Premiere Elements with my project at this point?
When you create your slideshow, you select the option to Send to Premiere Elements instead.
And don't forget to ensure your photos are no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size for most efficient, trouble-free workflow!

Good catch. I assumed that "play on computer" meant playing the DVD using DVD software on the computer. Duh! on my part. I did not ask enough questions.
