I have an editable text cast member "userInput". The user is prompted to type in some text and press enter. I want the text to be placed in a variable, "textInput". What to do?

Try something like the following as a behavior attached to your text sprite:

Sean, thanks for your help. I put the script in the frame, and Director skips right past it. Any thoughts?
Please disregard my last message. I attached the script to the frame instead of the sprite.
