I am very sorry to hear about your download problems. I am not aware of another download mechanism besides the Adobe Labs website.
Are getting getting errors while downloading or is the problem opening the file after the download? Also, are you using Win or Mac?
- clear your browser cache
- try downloading with a different browser
- verify you are downloading the right file for your platform

Thanks alot. It turned out one of the main internet hubs was having
hardware problems and affected network speeds in our area. I managed to
download it in the end.
