    Adobe Media Encoder

Hating the new media encoder I wish I could just export to a movie if I want. A problem I am having is when I am encoding a Microsoft .avi movie in the encoder from a sequence still opne in Premier Pro CS4. Whe I go back to the sequence and play the track on the timeline the encoder stops rendering. When I hit the space bar to stop the rendering continues. I thought the advantage to having the encoder is that it is a seperate program which will run even while you are editing. Is the problem the encoder is reading the timeline while it is encoding so it can detect any changes? Or is this a settings problem where something is telling it to stop when the sequence is played?

I have a quad core Intel Xeon with 12 gigs of Ram and Vista business 64.
