System: MAC Premiere pro CS4 4.1.0
Workflow for issue: NTSC HDV 30i project sequence (editing the native .mpeg files)
When I export to media encoder from a HDV project/sequence and choose the Widescreen MPEG-2 DVD preset, the output preview shows black bars on the left and right sides of the image (image is below or opent the full size version attached).
The export setting does not allow me to change anything related to the frame size so I can't figure out how to fix it.
On a sidenote, because HDV is Upper field first and the DVD preset defaults to Lower field, a tiny black line appears at the top of the frame in output preview. When I change the DVD option to Upper, this goes away.
Anybody else getting this issue?
Your image is still queued so I cannot see it but yes there are tiny black bars on the left and right sides of the screen. This is probably due to some round off errors in the PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio). I think I read that Adobe made some corrections from previous versions that ended up distorting the image
That queue does seem to be taking awhile (more than 30 minutes now).
I forgot to add that the HDV footage was captured from within Premiere using the HDV settings.
Still in the queue but if they are the same tiny bars I have not noticed anything in playback of the DVD's
