Could be a CODEC issue. First, get G-Spot and install/run it on your files. It will tell you exactly what they are, and what you need, if it shows them as not being installed.
Might be as simple as going to, say MainConcept's site, downloading and installing just the right CODEC. Without the info from G-Spot, we'd only be guessing.
Tip: always install JUST the CODEC's that are required. Do not install any CODEC "packs." They will most likely give you problems someplace.
OK, fixed this problem, ut it wasn't pretty.
Was an issue with my Registry, I did try a registry cleaning tool - but to no avail. I needed to do a full wipe an reinistall of Windows.
A few hours later - I got everything back up. Encore now works fine.
While everything is working, and before you add/remove anything else, go to
Read there about the software I use to create a full backup image of my boot drive to an external USB hard drive
The Linux version you may download includes a routine to make a bootable CD to run completely outside Windoze, so it may copy ALL the drive to a backup image... compressed to save space... and then allow you to restore everything as needed
This program is well worth the modest fee... IMHO
Thanks for reporting. Sorry that it took a full OS reinstall to clear it up.
