M or Shift M depending on how you have it set in your preferences. I think Shift M is the default.charles fry wrote:

Barbara B. Aug 4, 2009 12:59 PM (in response to charleshx)First of all, there's no "freestyle" marquee tool. Use one of the other tools like the lasso tools or the selection brush.
the marquee includes two tools: the rectangular marquee tool (draws, rectangles, squares), and the elliptical marquee (ovals, circles).
Click them in the toolbox and hold down the mouse to choose or tap the M key once to see the icon change to the other one. (Terri's suggestion about the prefs doesn't apply to elements, only to PS)
