    Lost my results view!

Some how I did something inadvertantly and the results window disappeared... when I make a change, validating etc.. I can't see the results window. I tried going to the bottom and grabbing the edge, but this only brings the bottom up. I can't find the results anywhere!

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

ps. I tried reinstalling the program, but that didn't change anything either.

Have you tried View > Results (Shft+Ctrl+L)?

Yes. The problem isn't that there are NO results, the problem is that I can't SEE the results... the window that is supposed to be popping up is probably somewhere "underneath" and I can't "grab" it or find it anywhere. When I do a "validate current document" for example, I see a little movement, and the box is supposed to pop up with the results, but I can't see it. The icon for "view results", or shift control L as you suggested as well, is "shaded" indicating the results are there somewhere, but they are hidden somehow...

Thanks for the idea... any more?

Hmm - I don't think that should ever be greyed out. It should just toggle on and off. I've had a look in the registry to see if there's a key that sets this (there is for most of the windows) but there doesn't seem to be anything for the results window.

The only thing I can suggest is uninstalling first, then delete anything that remains in the registry on this key:
              HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Macromedia\HomeSite5
              then reinstall.

You might want to back up that key first just in case.

Yes, I am afraid that is what I am going to have to do.

I only hold off on that, because I have all of my colors set custom, so when I reinstall the program from scratch I have to go in and re-set everything as far as all of my settings.

I like this program, it doesn't have all of the stuff on it that the others do, just enough so I can easily manipulate the html.

                Thanks again.
