    Data List Graphic Limitation?

    Primal Atom

      Hi,

      Question Reads as follows:

When creating a Data List... Is it possible to have the data list scroll with alternate "row" backgrounds, as is typical for showing tables of data?

(In this case, rows of data with alternating green and white backgrounds).

          Hi Primal,

There's no direct way to do this, but you should be able to hack it as follows:

          1.  Create bitmaps for each of your backgrounds.

          2.  Put the bitmap in your repeated item and make it dynamic (right click > Make Component Dynamic). This will put it in the Design-Time Data collection.

          3.  Click on each cell in the Design-Time Data panel and choose alternating colors yourself.

This does not exist - Making Component Dynamic in the HUD nor Right-Cliking the Bipmap, or other things I've tried.

There should be an easier way to create dynamically alternating colors in a DataList, as it's very comon.
