I forgot to do the transfer license thing when I re-installed my operating system on my iMac.... now Flash MX 2004 says "too many activations." Called Adobe support and they said that Adobe no longer supports Macromedia stuff and they closed my case. I reopened the case but get no response. I only have one computer and have not installed Flash on any other computer so I'm not trying to get around the license. Now I can't use my Flash software and cannot afford to even upgrade. Can anyone help?
We have the same 'too many activations' problem. I'm impressed you managed to find a phone number though, I haven't even got that far
Unfortunately, this is a HUGE issue with DRM. It's not like they don't just support the program version, which could be understandable, but they don't even support installation of it. It's a shame that companies have done this, because if you spend hundreds of dollars on a software license, and expect it to work indefinitely, it feels like the company is just taking your money away and leaving you with no options. Here's an interesting story of someone who had good luck with Adobe, not that it will happen to you ...
We have some projects on older versions of Flash that if we ever needed to revisit, I don't know if we could. Of course, I don't have any good answers, but the article above suggests that maybe someone at Adobe will be kind enough to help you.
