Unfortunately, John, the one panel you can not undock is the Tasks panel. Sorry.
I agree with you on this, but have always wondered about the "why" with this one Panel. In PrPro, one can move any Panel to a second, or third monitor. Of all of the Panels in PrE, this is the one that I would place on monitor 2, if I had the program on my workstation. (On the laptop, it's moot.)
I realize that there are other major differences between the GUI of PrE and PrPro, but wonder why the engineers designed this one Panel to be immovable. Maybe they just assumed that most users of PrE would not have dual monitors, and never considered it.
To the OP - I'm with you on which Panels I'd move, but agree with Steve, that this one is "sacred." Also, watch out for little problems if the Timeline is moved about too much. My memory is cloudy, but I know that Steve can provide the "cautions" that go with it.
Yes, there was a problem with undocking the timeline in version 4, Hunt. But Adobe remedied it in version 7.
Thanks for that. I remembered an issue, but could not recall detials.
thank you for your prompt reply. Can you tell me about your books and if
they are available in Sydney.
thankyou for your quick response. I have tried contacting Adobe in
Sydney but they have not returned my calls as yet
I'm not sure if the books are availabe on Amazon Australia, but you should be able to order them from the Muvipix store:
If you aren't able to access them through those sites, let me know and I'll ship one to you myself.
Thanks for supporting the books and the site, John!
I have tried all the large bookshops in Sydney and even with the ISBN
number cannot obtain your boook dealing with Premier Elements and the
various tools. You mentioned that you may be able to ship one to me.
