I would first quite Illustrator and then;I would go to Users/username/Library/preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder and trash that settings folder.I would remove the printer from the printer list and then add it back.
We followed your instructions, deleting the Settings folder and then
the main printer (Konika Minolta Bizhb 450 (Fiery X3eTY)). We then
printer's IP address back in.
After this, we test printed a file in Illustrator to a Dell (which we
uninstall). It printed without issue.
After reinstalling a driver from Minolta's site (Fiery X3eTY 35C-KM
eu), all of the presets (including the user login information) were
then attempted to print from Illustrator. The print dialog box
without any problems. When we selected "Printer," the color wheel began
spinning. After a few minutes, the Force Quit option said that
was not responding.
This is what we are running on specifically:
Mac OS X 10.4.11
Process 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo
Memory 1.25 GB 667 Mz DDR2 SDRAM
The memory info reads as follows
Memory Slot Size Type Speed Status
Bank 0/DIMM0 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz OK
Bank 1/DIMM1 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHZ OK
First it seems like very little RAM even for a Mac Mini but I do not
know if that is the issue.
Does this happen with all your files? Or one in particular or a group
f similar files?
It really seems like a very little RAM.
