Drag the tab until your cursor is between the document window and the panel groups on the fight. The highlight should appear, running vertically between the docuemnt window and the panel groups.
Nope. As I said, I slowly moved the tab to the right and no blue line.
Moved it right next to the panels and no blu line.
Thank you for trying though.

Works for me every time. I can create a video for you if you think it
This video doesn't seem to be downloading to view. Just a big box with
a play button that doesn't work. The other videos seem to be working.
Thank you, though.
I've been using the Creative Suite for many years and have lots of
experience moving palettes around and docking them to my needs. I just
am not able to get the two windows to dock together. I've resized the
windows to see if that would help. Nada. They won't dock together.
I watched the video on the Adobe site for FW "Customizing Your Workspace," and tried to "play along." A few times. Dang it! Those windows will not dock next to each other, below each other - not happening. They will only dock inside the main window as tabs. Then I see all sorts of blue lines indicating the docking. Based on the video, I can't see what is wrong. I've resized the window so there is room for the other document.
Does the size of my monitor have anything to do with it? It's a 30" monitor (and a 20"). My FW program is in standard screen mode.
Okay, this is so weird. Now it's working. Thank you all for trying to help!
