I am a long time photographer and I'm just starting to learn the ins and outs of filming and editing. I have a Canon XH-A1 and I'm shooting 1080i 24f and I'm having a hard time setting up Premiere properly to start editing. These are the presets that I have available...
I'm not quite sure which settings or preset will give me the proper/highest resolution for my camera. All the test footage I have done so far comes out quite grainy.
Please help me! I have been looking online all night and I feel stupid for not being able to figure this out.
Thank you in advance!
The trial does not support HDV, or any MPEG format for that matter. So you have to use the in-camera downrez to SD function in order to capture in a standard DV project. Whether you shot in 24F is not relevant, your tape was still recording and running at 60 Hz, so choose a 29.97 DV format.
Thanks for the help.
