mx.events.ScrollEvent

          you can do event.position to how far down/up you scroll.

            Hi,

            You can find with it with the render event of the scrollbar.

            <?xml version="1.0"?>

            <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">

                 <mx:Script>

                    <![CDATA[

                        import mx.events.ScrollEvent;

                        import mx.controls.Alert;

                        private function onRenderer(event : Event):void

                        {

                              Alert.show("On Renderer");

                        }

                    ]]>

                </mx:Script>

                <mx:VScrollBar id="bar"

                    height="100%"

                    minScrollPosition="0"

                    maxScrollPosition="{this.width - 20}"

                    lineScrollSize="50"

                    pageScrollSize="100"

                    repeatDelay="1000"

                    repeatInterval="500"

                    render="onRenderer(event )"

                    />

            </mx:Application>

            with Regards,

              I should probably clarify what I'm am trying to do. I have a richTextEditor container and I want to know when the ScrollBar inside the TextArea inside that RichTextEditor is first drawn. Right now I don't have access to it.

                You dont require to draw it, it will automatically appear when the height or with of your inner containt will be more that the container.Increase the height or width or your items or number of items.
