    How do I combine audio tracks in Premiere Elements 7?

      My audio cable went bad whiel videoing a program & I only have audio on one track. Is there a way to combine the Tracks in Premiere Elements 7?

          If you have a clean signal on one channel, and the other is empty, you can use the Audio Effect>Fill Left, or Fill Right, to get back to two channel. Note, this will be 2-channel mono, and not true stereo, but will sound very similar, just without the separation.

           

          Now, if you have one clean channel, but a problem with the other (bad Audio), I'd take the Audio portion of your File into an Audio editor, like Audacity, and strip out the bad channel, then just duplicate the good channel to replace it. That is basically what Fill-Left, etc. does, but if you have bad Audio, you will want to clean that out first.

            Also, I should point out that in PrE, all of your Audio Tracks will be mixed down to the Master, so you could have as many dupes, etc., as you want/need and it will all downmix to a stereo Master.
