Can you explain what you mean? I have no idea what you are trying to do or why you think you need to "reference a function".
I need to pass a reference of a function as an argument so that the function isn't called right away.
I created an animation system in lingo similar to Tweener(AS3). I need a way to tell my animation object which function to call at the end of the animation.
-- some stuff here
Anim.beginAnimation(doSomething) -- reference to doSomething passed so Anim knows to call it when animation completes
This is easily done in AS3, so I thought maybe Lingo might have a way to do it.
You can pass a handler name around as a symbol and use call(#handlerName, object) when you need to invoke it.
