You don't give any error code or module name from the blue screen, so it is very difficult to pinpoint what is happening.
Until you give further information I suggest that you remove Adobe Reader with the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, then reinstall it from scratch, and apply all the updates.
Blue screen nfo:
stop: 0x0000008e (0xc00000005, 0x8062f44a, 0x9bcf4974, 0x00000000
I'll try the removal and reinstall.
If the reinstall doesn't fix the problem, can you tell if there is a module name associated with the 0x0000008E error? It should show on the blue screen just under the error code, or otherwise be mentioned in the Event Viewer.
I also have a user who, when opening PDFs attached to emails in Outlook, gets a Blue Screen of Death. There does not seem to be a consistent reason (file size, origin or file, etc). The Blue Scree happens immediately after Outlook launches Arcobat Reader to display the PDF.
Is this what you're facing? Any solution?
And the error code is...?
And the module name is...?
I gave you the error code! Like all BSOD error codes, they're about as helpful as a chocolate fire gaurd!
I used the windows cleanup utility to uninstall and then reinstalled. No more blue screens! Hurrah!
I gave you the error code!
My question was to rschmidjr, who claims to have the same problem, but doesn't give any details.
Anyway, glad you solved it!
