Hi
I'm new to Captivate. I create a single slide with one interaction. When I preview it, the slide only appears for a few seconds then blends out. This seems to be a default for all the slides. I looked at the navigation options, but they refer to moving onto other slides etc.
Basically I don't understand why I can't just view the slide and test interactions on that one slide. don't want it to navigate anywhere else. Why does the viewing of slide need to timeout. It's like its on some time line

Add a button or clickbox - something that pauses the presentation
temporarily. Without them, Captivate assumes you want to keep moving
forward.

Hi Jon

In addition to what Steve has mentioned, if you are using the "Play this Slide" preview, then all you will see is the timing of that slide and no interaction points will be available to you. You need to use one of the other preview modes to be able to test your interactions.

I also find that if you go into Preferences>Project>Start and End that you need to uncheck the "fade out on the last slide" box to stop your one slide project (which contains a button) to fade out.

Thanks for posting this. I had asked a similar question elsewhere - your answer here helped a lot!
