    log axis grid lines

    Cr99 Level 1

      I've been looking through the documentation and around the web and can't seem to find an example of how to get minor grid lines to show up, specifically with a logarithmic chart.  What I need to create is something like this.  Any ideas?

          Well, you can get halfway there by setting the horizontalTickAligned property on GridLines to false:

                     <mx:GridLines direction="horizontal" horizontalChangeCount="1" horizontalTickAligned="false"/>

          This has the effect of drawing grid lines on the minor tick marks (the marks between the major marks). Unfortunately, this also prevents the lines from being drawn on the major tick marks.

          So, what you can then do is add a second GridLines background element, like this, but now set the horizontalTickAligned property to true:

                  <mx:backgroundElements>
                     <mx:GridLines direction="horizontal" horizontalChangeCount="1" horizontalTickAligned="true"/>
                     <mx:GridLines direction="horizontal" horizontalChangeCount="1" horizontalTickAligned="false"/>
                  </mx:backgroundElements>
