When I nest a sequence and enable the multicam mode, I get a red render bar on my timeline, even though I don't have any effects applied. I am using Premiere Pro CS4. I never had this problem in CS3. This is very annoying as I have to render the whole timeline which is sometimes quite long and can take a long time. Does anyone know why this happens? Is this by design or a glitch in CS4. As I said, this never happened in CS3.
Red doesn't necessarilly mean you have to render, and indeed you should not have to in this case (except for audio).
What does red mean if it doesn't mean it has to be rendered? When I hit Enter to render, it does render the whole timeline (not just the audio) and takes a long time. There are no effects applied. It's just a nested sequence enabled for Multicam. Is anyone else experiencing this in CS4? I never had this problem in CS3.
Red means if you're going to export to tape, you'll have to render for perfectly smooth playback. You're not exporting to tape, so don't worry about it. There is a keyboard shortcut to render just audio.
