Mark Sand Aug 28, 2009 3:55 PM (in response to charlottelei)It's possible your scanner might have a built-in negative inverter (if such a thing exists). If not, scan the negative and then run the Invert command. In my version of PSE it is Image>Adjustments>Invert (or Ctrl-I). The path might be different in your version.

On the last step, curves is used to increase the contrast. Unless, you have PSE7...which I think has some curve presets...you'll have to replace this step and bump the contrast some other way.
You could probably just duplicate the layer and place the duplicate in Overlay blend mode...reducing opacity to taste...to bump up the contrast.
