I haven't done flash in a while so what I'm preposing here may be "just one of them things" I don't know about, but when I export a movie that relies on changing frames with keystroke events it will not change frame. You can see the keystrokes being recognised in the background by flash as it's changing from the various the pallet tools.. Now if you export and play the swf in the separate flash player it all works perfectly, changes frames perfectly depending on what key you press. Is there some setting inside of the flash tester to stop it interacting with flash.. if that makes sense haha
When you are testing Flash in the editor, the keyboard shortcuts associated with the editor are still active unless you tell the Player to disable them. So when you test, as soon as the Player opens, select Control -> Disable Keyboard Shortcuts in the Player menubar, and that will stick until you close Flash.
