    changing a label's designation

    skinnc Community Member

If I were to change a label's meaning or designation halfway into cataloguing, would there be a way to strip the labels first from the hundreds of images already labeled?  (so that I could restart using the label for another designation)

If there isn't a way to do that, then I'll have to stop and really think harder about what I want the labels to mean.  If there is a way to gang blast the whole collection and strip files of their labels, then I'll proceed rating in a more relaxed way.  Right now I have red to mean Master File and green is Derivative File, etc.

Thank you for your time and thoughts.

You might want to test this first with a few copy files but if you change

the name from a label in the Bridge Prefs the label turns into white but I

think the name changes on the flow.

Just try a few different options, maybe restarting Bridge will bring the

colors back, have no experience with it.

If you want to get rid of all the labels and stars you can select them all

and go to the menu labels and choose no label and no rating, that should

remove all of them at once.
