1. Re: the healing brush in Bridge
Omke Oudeman Aug 29, 2009 3:03 PM (in response to skinnc)Nothing strange about it
The moment you hit enter you are telling ACR that the work is done and it
shuts the plug in and enters again Bridge, your start point before using the
plug in
There is no need to hit enter for healing brush, just use it as much as you
like, don't use a small radius, the second circle can be moved to another
location you want to be as the source for the spot to remove. You can clear
the spots at once using clear all or use the cmd Z or Option+Cmd Z for
multiple undo's. After you are satisfied either go to another panel or hit
enter to finish.
And not that I don't like to help you but you might consider to dive in
Bridge a little more to learn the basics.
A very good starting point is the excellent series Real World Camera Raw by
Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe, after reading this there will be less secrets
about Bridge and Camera Raw.
Also try AdobeTV.com, there are a lot of usefull video tutorials that let
you learn more about Bridge and ACR
Using this for the first time. Encountering strange behavior. Nothing under
Help menu.
At a radius of 7 it creates two circles connected by a line. One assumes the
second circle is the "good" area. On inspection I see that the initial
selection is now cleaned up. If I hit Enter it saves out the file and I'm back
to the lightbox. That is not what I want. I simply want to accept the
transaction.
At a radius of 1 or 2 it gets very confusing. Now no circles and the pointer
flip flops between being a cross, a double-headed arrow, and a diagonally
aligned double-headed arrow. I have nothing in PS to compare this to and I
don't know how to accept or chane the transaction. Can someone enlighten me?
Thank you.

skinnc Aug 29, 2009 3:15 PM (in response to Omke Oudeman)I learn by experience and by hitting a wall. Then I look for answers. I've never been able to learn via reading a book. Too bad for me. Tutorials, on the other hand are helpful, and I'll check out Adobe.tv next week. I'm currently immersed in tutorials about DAM. I do apologize for seeking "emergency" answers. I will try to be a better forum citizen.
Meanwhile I don't understand why once a spot has been healed you still have the circles showing. It's not helpful and they are in the way of more healing. Thank you Omke for the tips.

I can understand that and I feel about the same, but nevertheless you
should give it a try. This is a very easy reading book and you don't need to
read it in one time, it has also a lot of answers to your questions

It is very useful to be able to move or resize an already placed circle. If
you want to look at it without showing the circles deselect the option show
overlay and the circles are hiding.

skinnc Sep 1, 2009 6:45 PM (in response to skinnc)Thank you Anita for the help in finding Help online ( I was just clicking on Help in the Bridge menu bar and getting nothing helpful!) Now I know where the motherlode of Help is! lol
By the way, I can't figure out how my keyword got italicized -- even with this new information. It's a mystery. And the word just disappeared from my Keyword list just as mysteriously. very strange. (not a big deal ---just strange).
